The Drug and Alcohol Health Services program of the Dorchester County Health Department provides alcohol and drug free treatment based on the premise that addiction is a bio-psycho-social-spiritual disease, which can be arrested and managed, but not cured. These services emphasize the importance of thorough assessment to ascertain if an individual is dependant on alcohol or other drugs.

Dorchester County Drug and Alcohol Health Services (DAHS) provides the following high-quality addiction treatment services for both male and female adolescents and adults - especially those who are under-served, uninsured, or who cannot afford private treatment:

Special services include:

Hours of operation: 8:00 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Thursday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday. For information, please contact John Winslow at 410-228-7714.

We are providing some statewide and national links which can give you a wide range of information on addictions, treatment, and recovery.
