Family Planning
This program provides birth control counseling, contraceptives, pregnancy testing, gynecological care, and colposcopy services to women of childbearing age. Family Planning clinic is offered on Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm by appointment only.

Prenatal Clinic

Child Health
This program provides home visits and case management as needed for all babies born through maternity clinic and high-risk infants referred by private providers. Lead screening is on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

This program also includes immunization services for children. Immunization Clinics are on Tuesday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm and on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. UNSURE IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS IMMUNIZATIONS TO ENTER SCHOOL IN THE FALL? Call your child's doctor or pediatrician now! If your child needs immunizations: Make an appointment with your child's doctor or Call Ruth Baker, RN, of Dorchester County Health Department Children's Immunization Program at 410-228-3294. Children who do not have proof of required immunications may be EXCLUDED from school this fall! |

Case management for Children with Special Health Care Needs This program provides registered nurse case management for children with special health care needs by securing services and resourses for them and serving as the liaison for home, school, physician, and other agencies/programs. Referrals are accepted from physicians, schools, parents, etc. There is NO fee for this service. For more information, please contact Carolyn Hallowell, RN at 410-901-8167. Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) This program is for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, infants, and children under the age of 5 years old. This program is not offered as part of the Family Preventative Health Services programs.
