Nutrition

This program offers nutrition assessments and provides education for medically under served individuals. Referrals can be made from community agencies, physicians, hospitals, and schools.

Staff is also available to give free presentations to community, business, churches, and school groups on a variety of health topics.

Presentations can be adapted to fit desired needs and targeted to a specific audience. The length of presentations can be from 30 minutes to full day sessions.

Physical Activity

This program offers educational programs for school-aged children and youth regarding healthy eating and physical activity. This program also coordinates the development of a community health Cardiovascular Disease Health program, develops collaborative relationships with community groups and agencies, develops and identifies community physical activity resources. All residents of Dorchester county are eligible. All educational programs and materials are free of charge.
