Adolescent and Adult Drug Courts

At DAHS, we work closely with the Dorchester County Adolescent and Adult Drug courts to stop the abuse of alcohol and other drugs and related criminal activity. Instead of repeatedly going to jail only to return to the streets and a drug-seeking lifestyle, Drug Courts offer a compelling choice for individuals whose criminal justice involvement stems from alcohol or drug use - participation in treatment. In exchange for successful completion of one of our treatment programs, the court may dismiss the original charge, reduce or set aside a sentence, offer some lesser penalty, or offer a combination of these incentives.
