Focuses on problems identified by crash data for Dorchester County. Current data suggests that there are six target areas to address:
- Impaired driving
- Aggressive driving
- Young driver/underage drinking
- Occupant protection [seat belt and car seat use] (.pdf file)
- Bicycle safety
- Older driver safety
- [which are tackled by enforcement and educational materials]
Thanks to the Highway Safety Grant funded by the Maryland Highway Safety Office, this program is able to provide services such as:
- Overtime for local law enforcement
- Car seat clinics [by appointment only]
- Media and awareness campaigns
