Primary Adult Care Program
The Primary Adult Care Program or PAC offers health services to people 19 and over who make limited amounts of money each year.
People on PAC will get:
- Free visits to a family doctor. Also called a Primary Care Provider of PCP.
- Free outpatient visits to a counselor or psychiatrist for mental health services.
- Lowever-priced or no-cost prescription drugs. You may need to pay a co-pay for some prescriptions.
PAC does not pay for hospital stays, emergency room visits or specialty care.
Who can apply?
- You need to be ag 19 or over
- You can't be on Medicare
- You need to meet the income and assets conditions.
How do I apply?
- Call toll-free at 1-800-226-2142. Ask for a PAC application form.
- Or go on online to www.dhmh.state.md.us/mma/mpap to print off a PAC application.

Maryland Children's Health Program
Maryland Children's Health Program and MCHP Premium provides no-cost to low-cost medical coverage for those who meet federal income requirements and is available to children from birth to 19 years of age and pregnant women who meet the income guidelines. No interview is required. MCHP enrollees obtain care from a variety of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) through the Maryland HealthChoice Program.

How do I apply?
The application is brief and the process is simple. The application asks for:
- General information (such as Name, address, telephone number)
- Any health insurance coverage
- Information about family members (such as names and birth dates)
- Social security numbers of applicants
- Sources and amounts of family income
