Become a Personal Care Provider

Many people who are disabled, chronically ill or elderly, could remain at home if they had someone to help them.

To become a Personal Care provider you must:

• be at least 18 years old
• apply to and be enrolled in the Personal Care Program
• have a sincere desire to help people
• be responsible
• be willing to help with some part or combination of bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation or mobility
• be able to read, write, and follow directions
• be certified by your doctor as physically able to perform Personal Care tasks
• not be a member of the client's immediate family
• agree to a criminal background investigation
