Become a Personal Care Provider
Many people who are disabled, chronically ill or elderly, could remain at home if they had someone to help them.
To become a Personal Care provider you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- apply to and be enrolled in the Personal Care Program
- have a sincere desire to help people
- be responsible
- be willing to help with some part or combination of bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation or mobility
- be able to read, write, and follow directions
- be certified by your doctor as physically able to perform Personal Care tasks
- not be a member of the client's immediate family
- agree to a criminal background investigation
