Please be advised that as of December 1, 2005, new State identification cards will be required for access to any building controlled by Department of General Services (DGS) police, which includes the O'Conor Building at 201 W. Preston Street in Baltimore City. Individuals without these cards will be required to sign in as visitors at the security desk in order to enter.
The old DGS-issued cards if presented for identification at a DGS-controlled building, will be confiscated by DGS police. If the old card is your only form of state identification, please arrange with your supervisor or local security-card coordinator to have a new card issued. You should also have some other form of photo identification when entering a DGS-controlled building until the new card is obtained.
